It’s fairly easy to see that we can’t control what other people do, or make situations change at will.
(Doesn’t stop the mind trying, though, eh? 😆)
But had you ever considered that you don’t get to choose when personal (i.e. inner) change occurs, either?
I only ask, because one of the most common reactions to a client having an insight (and things shifting considerably for them, as a result) is:
“Now, why didn’t I see that before?!”
Or its bedfellow,
“Why has this taken me so long?!”
Both of which, if you’re eagle-eyed have a hidden red flag in there:
📦🗣️ “This should (🚩) have happened sooner.”
But here's your Sunday ‘What if…’ to ponder.
What if… that's just a mind, observing change happening, not really understanding it, incorrectly concluding that it's been responsible for this change (it really hasn’t) and then getting all het up with itself because if this change was its responsibility (it really wasn’t) then it should (🚩) have done a better job?
Because if that's the case, we can safely dismiss it as more useless mind rubbish, stop trying to make change happen wilfully, be grateful for the changes we have seen and relax back into the flow of life.
You know – where change is more likely to happen.
