The day *everything* changed ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Six years old

Today is my birthday.

More years ago than I care to mention, I emerged, messy, naked and fully present to this thing we call life.

I had no story, no language, and no identity.

Yet I was lived.

Iโ€™d not come to learn the idea of โ€˜separationโ€™ and as a consequence I received it all with possibly the most open, rule-free mind Iโ€™ve ever had.

Today is also my re-birthday.

For by an astonishing coincidence, six years ago today, on my birthday, it happened all over again (with less mess and more clothing, youโ€™ll be relieved to hear).

Up on stage in front of an audience, without warning, I dropped out of all my stories and the identity Iโ€™d been living for decades, saw through the mindโ€™s illusion of separation and โ€˜had an experience of my own healthโ€™, fully present to this thing we call life.

Which was the starting point and the whole reason for these pieces of writing.

This recording is quite a few years old now (and listening back, Iโ€™m a little bit garrulous and star-struck) but the full story of how it all happened was captured on Jamie Smartโ€™s Get Clarity Podcast, that you can listen to, below:

The weather forecast for today is quite terrible so I shall no doubt be riding the indoor trainerโ€ฆ but only to work up an appetite for a meal out with my wife and daughter, later. ๐Ÿ˜‹

Until tomorrow!
