Today's Daily Reminder occurred to me while I was sat in a school hall watching my daughter's year put on their dramatic take of A Christmas Carol.
It was hearty fare, although I struggled to keep up a little bit. It's a big school and the noble aim of including every single pupil from her year, meant that there were something like four (maybe five?) different Scrooges – one of whom, by dint of seasonal sickness absences, was reduced to the voice of the drama teacher, wafting in ethereally from the front row.

But somehow this melee of little mind-bodies shuffling around saying things quietly in front of us managed to convey the ‘Christmas spirit’ and suddenly one of the basic principles of my work reared its head, quite obviously:
