Right tool for the job

Making decisions is just as much about knowing what *not* to do ✋🏼

In yesterday’s Daily Reminder I suggested that the outputs of the mind aren’t all bad.

That’s because we have two distinct modes of thinking:

  • Processing mode 🤖
  • Free-flowing mode 🌊

And it’s only when we confuse the two, or use the wrong one for the wrong job, that we get into difficulty.

This is never more evident than when it comes to Decision-making.

As I point out in this week’s short video clip:

Excerpt taken from my Decision-Making Video Masterclass

Choice quote:

“If I don't immediately know what to do about a difficult work situation, I might process the problem over and over again in my mind with no insight into the situation, to the detriment of other work, relationships, and my sleep.”

So often in life, if we (i.e. the H.E.C. or Human Ego Construct 📦) get out of the way and let life do its thing, we find answers coming to us with relative ease, to even the most difficult of problems.

And seeing when NOT to use Processing Mode is way more than half the battle!

The Decision-Making Video Masterclass is a profoundly insightful 1½ hour deep dive, where we go beyond conventional ‘tips for smarter decisions’, to explore the mechanics of choice itself: How do we ‘decide for the best’? Best for whom? And how do we align ourselves with our innate, inner resources?

If you're stuck making a big decision, or really struggle with decisions in general, this one's for you.
