During a session I ran on the topic of Intuition, I was asked a question about whether I thought we could get “intuition on demand” in order to solve our problems.

It instantly brought to mind one of my favourite little chapters from Richard Carlson's timeless classic, Don't Sweat the Small Stuff, all about using the back burner of the mind for such tasks.

This helpful little metaphor has had SUCH an impact on my life, over the years, that in this little clip I share it with you… as well as some examples of when, and how I use it myself.

This is one to watch a couple of times, so it really sinks in.

Then get putting stuff on the back burner, and see what happens!

It makes total sense, if you consider it.

When you don’t know something, you don’t know it, and wracking your brains for a solution just isn’t going to help. (Seriously, examine your own experience - when has that ever helped, to come up with a fresh solution to a problem?!)
