Let’s start the week with a chuckle shall we?
I’ve got two mice-in-mazes cartoons for you; both of which point to the Innate Health understanding.
They riff on the notion that mice get put in mazes to study their behaviour, and that the situation—from the mouse’s perspective—is essentially unwinnable. A sort of Kobayashi Maru test for them. And here are two mice, dealing with that inevitability in two different ways.
What can we learn from these enlightened little creatures?
[Cartoon by Adam Cooper & Mat Barton]
Ha! This one harks back to one of my old favourite Daily Reminders: You can't not see an illusion. The mouse has ceased trying to escape from what is inescapable, and is instead marvelling at the wonder of it all. And in doing so, achieving the freedom it desires.
Look closely and you’ll see it’s even got a maze picture hanging on the wall 😆 We could all definitely learn from this mouse.
But my favourite has to be this one:
[Cartoon by Daniel Beyer]
Brilliant!! For me, this cartoon is the 3 Principles, manifest. It’s almost like you’ve got (complicated, analytical) Thought Realisation there on the right, and (simple, clear) Innate Health on the left.
Either are fine. Both are necessary.
But we lose our way. We get lost in that seductive, complicated little maze of the analytical mind – so lost, we forget the fact that the clarity of presence is even an option.
Which is why I show up each morning, to remind you.
😘

p.s. reminds me of that famous saying,
Q: What's the first thing you need to know, in order to escape a trap?
A: That you're in a trap.
It's something I talk about on this podcast episode!
