Circumstances, moods, chickens and eggs

Which came first, the circumstance, or the mood? 🧐

When we’re thinking about moods, the mood we’re in matters.

(Read that again.)

Because someone once asked me (while they were in a bit of a low mood):

“Why do we spend so much time in negativity? Why isn't it easier to get out of our low moods?”

Which is a great question… when we’re in a low mood.

I bet you’ve asked it yourself.

But are you open to the idea that this is the Thought-reality of a low state of consciousness, and that when you're in a higher state of consciousness, a different Thought-reality will be created?

🤔

That it'll all look easy and straightforward and you'll wonder what the hell you were thinking?

😳

That it’s not the circumstances creating your mood, it’s your mood painting a pretty ropey-looking picture of the situation?

😐

A gentle reminder:

🔑
Key Message: 100% of our feelings come from the Principle of Thought (and 0% come from our circumstances)

Honestly, low mood thinking is sooooooo seductive. Its siren song will have you on the rocks in no time.

Best not to listen to that stuff.

I’m reminded of one of my all time favourite Richard Carlson quotes:

“Remember, it’s not your life that has suddenly changed for the worse in the past hour; it’s your mood.”

Keep it simple, be aware.

Think less, live more.
