The other day, I wrote something about the two minute green tea timer I use, to prevent me from accidentally poisoning myself.
(โA trusted systemโ if you missed it.)
Thatโs me, winning at life, one realisation at a time
๐
When I was wrapping it up for you, my head was very much into the next thing I was about to do, and I didnโt really conclude it properly.
(There's a lesson there, I'm sure ๐ค)
Why was I telling you that setting a timer gets a task so off my mind, that it no longer exists in consciousness, or even in reality?
But then someone posted a little comment about it on social media, and I realised the conclusion I should have shared with you.
I replied to them,
โIf only people could learn to pay this little attention to their insecurities! ๐โ
โฆbecause thatโs the thing I wanted to say!
The opposite of having something off your mind is having something on your mind and given that thought is the ONLY thing we EVER get to experience, throughout our ENTIRE livesโฆ well, it doesnโt really make sense to go paying attention to the crap your mind comes out with, does it?
So, next time you catch yourself fretting about somethingโanything!โset a metaphorical two minute timer for itโฆ forget about it, and get on with your life.
