The thing vs. Your experience of the thing

These are not the same thing. They're on two separate tracks ๐Ÿ›ค๏ธ

Short and sweet today: 1 minute of pointing to the principles that underpin our experience of life.

Because what shows up for us in life (โ€˜the thingโ€™) is completely out of our control!

That's a bitter pill to swallow sometimes, especially when it comes to something like the death of a loved one.

Relief from suffering comes from seeing that there are no rules about how we should feelโ€”for any circumstance!โ€”but that there are principles that govern our experience of โ€˜the thingโ€™.

It might seem like a subtle difference, but it's the key to having a totally different experience of life; one free from stress & anxiety, and full of ease, connection and peace of mind.

If you can see, insightfully (maybe from watching videos like this one), that โ€˜the thingโ€™ (i.e. the circumstances we face) are not connected to our experience of the thing (i.e. what we actually get, moment to moment), however much it looks that way, then youโ€™re free.

As I explain, in this very short (1 min) video:
