I'm not afraid to say “I love you”

Why is that? 💘

I’ve got into a habit of signing off group sessions (like the Premium 🔖 Subscriber group calls) by saying,

“I love you all.”

Which, if you’d told me I’d be doing—telling groups of relative strangers that I love them—a few years ago, I’d probably have freaked out a bit. Or at the very least questioned the appropriateness of my behaviour.

And yet I’ve noticed that I do it more and more easily all the time.

It seems I've become super-comfortable with the idea of ‘love’.

So I don’t ever ‘like’ 👍 other people’s social media posts, I ‘love’ ❤️ them.

I sign off my emails and my posts with a heart. 💟

It’ll even crop up in 1:1 client conversations sometimes, mid-sentence:

“Well, look, I love you, and…”

It got me thinking about what I mean by the word ‘love’, that I can bandy it around, so freely.

🤔

Love = What you are

I think ‘love’ is a fantastic metaphor/synonym for Innate Health.

For presence. For soul, grace, god, being, wisdom, spirit, the now, the formless energy of life itself…

(When you’re ‘in love’ with someone, you’re both just resting in that non-judgemental space together and it feels good.)

So when I say “I love you” to my clients and to groups, I suppose it’s my way of saying,

“I’m here. In the reality of Now. Join me.”

It’s the place of true understanding.

  • Of creativity
  • Of wisdom
  • Of insight
  • Of perspective
  • Of peace.

It’s what we all seek, even if we don’t know it.

So, you have been warned. Don’t be freaked out if I tell you…

I love you.
