What are they thinking?

A little video to demonstrate the notion of separate realities πŸ‘₯

What are they thinking?

A couple of days ago, I very briefly mentioned the notion of separate realities, so in this little video clip, we’re going to take a trip down memory laneβ€”hop on the nostalgia bus with me!β€”to the year 2020, when I was running a series of workshops with an intrepid group of explorers.

Here’s a youthful, slightly more behaired Giles, running a little exercise to make what’s right under our noses, a bit more clear.

I love how Giles, circa. February 2020 chucks in a bit of a bombshell at the end there.

But really, if this was seen at a societal, or better still at a species level, it would mean the end to conflict.

Because all conflict stems from not seeing how separate realities work; from clinging onto our illusory separateness; from defending an identity that’s made of the same stuff as our nightly dreams.

When we come to the realisation that it’s simply not possible for another to see what we see, our compassion levels go through the roof and we’re left with just one tool at our disposal to even begin to understand how they are perceiving the world…

Listening.

Which I’ll come back to next week.
