Emotions vs. Feelings

Is there a difference, is there really a difference? πŸ™ƒ

Back to basics with today's Daily Reminder – a little video clip for you.

At an event I once ran, somebody with a curious mind (a mind that wanted to put things into categories, in order to settle itself), asked me:

β€œWhat is the difference between emotions and feelings?”

It's not something I'd ever really considered until that moment, and in meandering my way to my own conclusions, I explored some of the basic principles behind how we experience all of life (which happens to include β€˜feelings’ and β€˜emotions’).

In doing so, I jumped from one metaphor to another, so this one features some of the greatest hits:

  • Outside-in vs. Inside-Out (the teddy bear diagram)
  • The inseparable nature of (the Principle of) Thought and Feeling, using a 50p coin to demonstrate
  • The left & right hemisphere ways-of-being
  • Thought system content vs. Awareness of Thought system and how β€˜where you're coming from’ makes all the difference.

Relax and enjoy this 3 minute exploration:
