Do you let bruises heal?

β€œOoh I love this, so simple and so bloody true - thank you, great reminder!”

Genuine question: do you let bruises heal?

Or do you keep prodding them?

🧐

I’m guessing you leave them alone.

Because on some level you understand that life energy/the wisdom of the mind-body/your innate health will just get on with it in the background.

A silent, invisible process.

But oh how our tune changes when it’s a bruised ego, or a psychological thwack we’ve received from another person, or something that’s happened.

Repeatedly thinking about it is the equivalent of repeatedly prodding the bruise.

It doesn’t give life energy/the wisdom of the mind-body/your innate health the chance to do its stuff in the background: to heal, to process silently and invisibly.

To provide perspective.

We innocently re-traumatise our selves every time we prod that bruise.

How about you stop doing that?
