When weβre thinking about moods, the mood weβre in matters.
(Read that again.)
Because someone once asked me (while they were in a bit of a low mood):
βWhy do we spend so much time in negativity? Why isn't it easier to get out of our low moods?β
Which is a great questionβ¦ when weβre in a low mood.
I bet youβve asked it yourself.
But are you open to the idea that this is the Thought-reality of a low state of consciousness, and that when you're in a higher state of consciousness, a different Thought-reality will be created?
π€
That it'll all look easy and straightforward and you'll wonder what the hell you were thinking?
π³
That itβs not the circumstances creating your mood, itβs your mood painting a pretty ropey-looking picture of the situation?
π
A gentle reminder:
Honestly, low mood thinking is sooooooo seductive. Its siren song will have you on the rocks in no time.
Best not to listen to that stuff.
Iβm reminded of one of my all time favourite Richard Carlson quotes:
βRemember, itβs not your life that has suddenly changed for the worse in the past hour; itβs your mood.β
Keep it simple, be aware.
Think less, live more.
