# Who cares?

As time goes by and my understanding of the principles behind the-way-we-experience-life-and-who-we-really-are continue to deepen, I find myself doing more and more of this favourite little emoji of mine:

🤷🏻‍♂️

And this metaphorical shrug might be accompanied with a mental, or actual, voicing of the phrase:

> *“Who cares?!”*

LOL.

Now, that might seem super-flippant to you—downright rude, even—but put your pitchfork down for a second and actually consider it as a legitimate question.

Who (or what) is it, exactly, that ‘cares’?

To help you in your deep spiritual exploration (it is Sunday, after all), I should let you know that the etymology of the word “care,” is *to wail, lament, call out or scream.*

Know of anything that does any of those things?

Could it be, the only thing that ‘cares’ about how things turn out is that old friend of ours, the ego?
