- Description: There are no ‘bad’ ways to grieve. Avoiding grief itself is not one of those ways. 😥

So [recently I looked at](https://www.gilespcroft.com/using-ai-as-a-tool/) how I do—and do not—use AI.

And I *promise…* this **Daily Reminder** will be the last one for a long while where I talk about the topic, but I just couldn’t let this video slide.

As far as I can tell, it landed on social media for the first time two weeks ago, and since then, the original 1m46s [video on Twitter/X](https://x.com/CalumWorthy/status/1988283207138324487?ref=gilespcroft.com) alone has had more than ***40 million views!!***

😵‍💫

(Those kinds of numbers get the old Giles Ego Construct 📦 pretty twitchy and indignant about my [YouTube channel’s statistics](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLfJ4-7usHSPUYJ6ENsYAww?sub%5Fconfirmation=1&ref=gilespcroft.com) 😆)

Anyway, if you haven’t seen it, hold on to your hat and watch it now.

I say “hold on to your hat” because if you’ve yet to watch, or read about it, it’s going to be nigh on impossible *not* to have a visceral reaction to it.

(I end up yelling at the screen every time every time I watch it!!! 🤣)

This is a use of AI that—for me—takes us down a very, very slippery slope.

You may feel very differently. We all live in separate realities and I absolutely respect yours.

Enjoy the ride…

**My 11½yo daughter—who lost her own beloved grandmother five years ago—*[**watched this*](https://youtu.be/UFenaK4wIsw?ref=gilespcroft.com "Opens YouTube in a new browser window") *and concluded,* ***“That is SUCH a bad idea!!!”**

I am left almost speechless.

*Almost.*

On one hand I’m absolutely blown away at how effectively this taps into the 3 Principles – the fact that we live in—and crucially ***feel***—a thought-created perceptual reality. Here’s a company taking that fact and running with it in a way I’d not even contemplated before. It’s astonishing.

And on the other hand… OMFG WTF were they thinking?!?! 😳😲😱🤯😩😠

I mean, seriously! Just ’cos you *can* do something, doesn’t mean you *should!!*

😱

Are we **this* afraid of our own natural human emotions now, that we go to **these* lengths, to avoid them?

You only have to scan through the comments below the [original Twitter/X post](https://x.com/CalumWorthy/status/1988283207138324487?ref=gilespcroft.com) to get a flavour of some of the implications of technology like this (and other people’s visceral reactions to it).

Then put your phone down, go make a cup of tea and go out of your way to make a human connection with another living soul. Please!

I shall close with the words of someone else who’s no longer with us, and without whom, the **Daily Reminders** wouldn’t exist. He was a real person who said real things that implored you to look for a deeper truth to your life… rather than avoiding it!

If I could sum up how I feel about the video above, it would be with this simple statement:

p.s. On the subject of grief and grieving, here's me in conversation with Dr Amy Johnson on her podcast Changeable:

In this 1h40m ****Video Masterclass** we pick apart the social norms, examine the beliefs we hold and hear lots of stories of grief and loss, as we work towards two goals:

1. Seeing that there are no rules when it comes to grief (so any experience of it is ok)
2. Learning how to be fine with whatever emotions show up.

It’s a gentle, thought-provoking 1½ hours that will provide you with an entirely fresh perspective on grief, loss and death, so settle in and listen for insight.
