Richard Carlson with your weekend wake up call:

😳

This is what I *love* about Richard – he takes the inside-out understanding and he really runs with it.

(Holding our feet to the flames in the process! 🦶🏼🔥😆)

You see, **100% of our experience comes to us via thought**: the perceptual process going on inside of us that’s creating this light show that we call our own, individual reality. That’s 100% of *everything* that we feel.

Which means that leaves… hang on, while I grab my calculator…

🧮

Oh, that’s right, **0% of our experience comes from anywhere else.**

Including our partners, children, colleagues, that idiot that just cut us up in traffic…

🔑

****Key Message**:
➤ ****100%** of our feelings come from (the Principle of) Thought
➤ ****0%** of our feelings come from our circumstances

To be clear – it’s completely fine that it doesn’t *look* this way (and [it never will](https://www.gilespcroft.com/illusion/) \- it’s an illusion) but the whole thing’s an inner game.

What we’re experiencing isn’t the ‘outside’ world, it’s our mood, or [level of consciousness](https://www.gilespcroft.com/elevator/), reflected outwards.

Which is actually pretty cool.

And a bit of a relief.

Because it means we don’t have to wrestle change out of someone else, in order to feel ok.

Feeling ok is an inside job.

💟

p.s. Before you set the dogs on me (and, incidentally, I used to believe that I was scared of dogs, until I realised I just had some fearful thinking about dogs) I need to flash up one of my small print disclaimers:

> **🚫 This does NOT mean you should ‘just put up with things’**

Which is something you can read about in the **Related** post, linked below ⬇️
