I love using metaphors that point to the way we experience life, and if you've watched *any* of these videos of mine, you'll know I'm always banging on about ‘the computer-mind’.

Why are metaphors so powerful? Because they give us a fresh perspective on how something is working, which means we can:

  1. not be freaked out by it, and
  2. work *with* it, instead of fighting *against* it.

In [***this 7 minute clip***](https://youtu.be/zG-8BlxEwxM?ref=gilespcroft.com), you'll hear me digging into the computer-mind metaphor a little deeper, using examples from a recent TV programme I watched (with a helpful robot), and also the seemingly omnipresent notion of ‘artificial intelligence’.

Both metaphors are so spot on for the outputs of the left brain, I couldn't resist sharing them.

It's a longer clip, that you're going to want to properly settle into.

It's one to remember, next time you're conversing with some form of AI. You're a natural – you've been doing it since you learned to talk!
