I've been pulling together some resources on the topic of relationships over the last couple of days, and of course one of the key things to see—the only thing, really!—about the nature of our interactions with others is this:

🔑

****Key Message**: We all live in ****separate realities**.

More than this being individual ‘takes’ on some canonical version of affairs, this observation is a logical extension of the inside-out understanding.

Because if the entirety of what we're experiencing is [being generated by the Principle of Thought](https://www.gilespcroft.com/your-reality-is-a-perception-of-the-mind/), and it's all happening *inside* us… then the same is going on with everybody else too.

8+ billion Thought Systems, all insisting that:

> 📦🗣️ “*No, *this* is reality.”*

LOL.

I once got the old pixelbot to create me an image to represent that, and actually quite like the result:

They say a picture speaks a thousand words…

And it's funny, because we've got the evidence right under our noses in every single interaction we ever have with every other human being on planet earth, as well as in every book we read, every podcast we listen to and every movie or TV show that we watch.

Everybody's *completely* different!

Stick ten people in a room with a film, and there'll be ten different film experiences had, because—strange, but true—**they're not experiencing the film**, they're experiencing a thought-created perceptual reality of those dancing pixels of light and fluctuations in air pressure that we call sound.

It's all coming through the filter of their Thought System (just like these words are coming through yours) – [nobody will ever experience the same thing](https://www.gilespcroft.com/no-sunrise-for-you/), ever!

But of course, we all think we're ‘right’ all the time.

😂

As Richard Carlson said, on this topic, in what is officially the longest-titled chapter of his [entire book](https://amzn.to/4byxIbs?ref=gilespcroft.com) (‘**The Next Time You Find Yourself in an Argument, Rather than Defend Your Position, See if You Can See the Other Point of View First**’) 😳:

> *“It's interesting to consider that when you disagree with someone, the person you are disagreeing with is every bit as certain of his or her position as you are of yours. Yet we always take sides—ours! This is our ego's way of refusing to learn anything new. It's also a habit that creates a lot of unnecessary stress.”*

Now I don't know about you, but I'm pretty much signed up to a life with as little stress as possible.

Seeing that my mind is, by definition, wrong about stuff literally *all the time*, seems to me one of the easiest (not to mention in-line-with-basic-principles) ways of realising that lofty goal.

Prove me wrong!

😘
